Of course, this assumes that your caloric intake stays exactly the same for the rest of that year, that the subtraction of soda creates a caloric deficit from your maintenance value of 124-125 calories a day, and that you don’t replace the calories from your soda with that of some other food.
This is why you can’t just be like “I quit soda, and I didn’t lose any weight!” There’s more to it.
